Film City in Ottappalam

From the days when Mollywood shifted its operation from Chennai to Kerala, Otappalam had been one location that become the most sought after locales for filming. Every year at-least two dozens of films are being shot in this place. Finding its importance in Kerala cinema history, the state government has now planned to start a Film City at Ottappalam, with the help of private entrepreneurs. The state Finance minister Shri. KM Mani has earmarked one crore for the initial development of the film city project in the budget that was presented in Kerala Assembly today.
