If the reports are to be believed, the forthcoming Prithviraj starrer Simhasanam is literally minting money, as the film is still going on. The film is being scripted and directed by Shaji Kailas.
The grapevine has it that an American Malayali’s newly formed distribution Company bought the film’s distribution rights for an amazing Rs. 2.5 crores.
The film’s satellite rights have been sold for Rs. 2.70 crores. Now, the Indian video rights and the foreign rights are remaining to be sold.
This could bring in some 30 lakhs more. All these mean that the producer, Chandrakumar could be laughing all the way to the bank, even before the film reaches the theatres.
Can Prithviraj, whose Masters turned out to be a dud at the theatres recently, heave a sigh of relief now? Well, your guess is as good as ours.
